Emergencies

In some situations the advice may be to dial 999 for immediate medical attention.

Chest pain, difficulty in breathing, a possible stroke and severe bleeding are all emergencies, so please dial 999. Our reception staff and telephonists are trained to pick up suspected emergencies from the calls patients make to us, and may direct patients to call 999 immediately.

You do not need to call the surgery or NHS 111 before hand - just 999 direct.
